Hello and welcome back to the Cambrensis blog. It’s been another eventful week here in Cardiff, as we’ve just announced our first-ever London Fashion Week event, taking place in conjunction with the London Welsh Centre, Wales Week London, and our brilliant partners who have helped make this possible, including; Aspire Merthyr Tydfil, Merthyr Tydfil borough council, Penderyn Distillery, Penhill Jones Property and GRJ Interiors Ltd, we are so proud to be able to bring together Welsh organisations for such an exciting event.
The event will be invite-only; however, anyone interested in our brand ethos or fashion on a broader spectrum can apply for an invite by emailing info@cambrensis.co.uk, visiting our social media platforms, or heading to the official Wales Week London site for more information.

In other news, we’re delighted to announce the latest episode of our in-house podcast, From Collieries to Couture, featuring Merthyr-born actor Sam Locke. The episode explores Sam’s unique journey through the South Wales education system, where he first developed his love for acting through drama lessons before continuing his studies at arts college. From there, Sam carried his passion into a professional acting career starting with student projects and short films before working his way towards his breakout role in 28 Years Later: Bone Temple. We also discuss what it’s like growing up in a historic, industrial town such as Merthyr Tydfil, a place that has really influenced our brand identity and continues to shape our direction, and somewhere that has seen a recent emergence in culture and the arts of its own. Sam speaks fondly of his hometown and shares his desire to represent Merthyr on the biggest stage of all.
Born in 2001, Sam Locke is an emerging actor from Merthyr Tydfil, nestled in the valleys of South Wales. He has gained significant attention for his role in the recent film 28 Years Later: Bone Temple, where he plays one of a group of survivors in the gritty, post-apocalyptic action thriller. Sam has also appeared in British television productions including The Way, directed by Welsh icon Michael Sheen, and the S4C drama Itopia. He studied performing arts atMerthyr College before continuing his training at De Montfort University in Leicester. Following his studies, Sam began his professional acting career in short films and independent productions, eventually making the leap into television and feature film roles.
