Welcome back to the Cambrensis blog. Exciting times here as we kick off the festive season with our Christmas in the Capital campaign. We aim to showcase the vibrant and colourful Christmas season here in Cardiff. We have paid visits to many city-centre landmarks, from the temporary market stalls to the deeply historic and charming Market and Castle Arcades. As the winter season gets started, we’ve got you covered (literally). Our garments are proven against the ever-present weather here in South Wales and will provide the ultimate comfort as the days get shorter and the nights get colder! Please note that any orders intended to arrive in time for Christmas should be made by the 15th of December to allow time for post and packaging.

More great news, as we are delighted to announce our very first stockist: Signori Menswear in Porthmadog, North Wales. We are so proud to have our first ever stockist - especially in such a brilliant and historic slate-mining town in the beautiful county of Gwynedd, where so much of our heritage lives and thrives.
We kick-started our partnership with a soft launch hosted at the shop, where we showed off all of our collections and a few exclusive pieces only available in store at Signori Menswear. In North Wales and looking for a new statement piece? Why not head over and pay Dan a visit, where you will be well looked after, can try on some garments, and learn more about us both.

The launch was a great success and Cambrensis pieces are already flying off the rails. If you missed us this time, don’t worry - we will be back in North Wales on the 20th of December for the Welsh Menswear Pop-Up Shop in collaboration with Magnetic Book and Spirit of ’58, hosted by Signori Menswear.
Spirit of ’58 is the uniform of modern Welsh football culture, started by Tim Williams in 2010 and popularising the iconic Welsh bucket hats that have become so synonymous with the passionate and devoted Red Wall, who follow Wales home and away and signify modern Welsh footballs visual identity to a tee. The brand has seen a meteoric rise since our historic Euro campaign in 2016 that truly put Wales on the map and showed what our small but great nation is all about - passion and going against all odds for the place we call home.
Magnetic will be a familiar name to followers of our brand, with our ongoing collaboration called Genoa, dedicated to the Italian influence on modern Welsh culture and drawing inspiration from the works of Bologna’s own Massimo Osti - a titan in modern menswear and creator of Stone Island and C.P. Company, two brands that, like us, prioritise supreme quality and creative design above everything.

Our next pop-up shop will be at Coaltown Coffee’s Christmas Market in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire. We are excited to be a part of this long-running community event, especially in a place we feel links closely to the coal-mining heritage that we, as a brand, hold in such high importance. We will be in attendance at the market on the 6th and 7th of December and hope to see as many of you there as possible!
Our Genoa range pre-orders will close on Sunday the 7th of December. This collection aims to emphasise the history of Italian culture that has become ever-present in Welsh mining towns - whether in the mines themselves or the Italian cafés that dot the high streets of many Welsh towns to this day. The collection consists of the Picinisco Tee, depicting a Welsh miner in a design reminiscent of the Poste Italiane stamp designs, and the Bardi Jacket, a beautifully crafted piece in a medieval-blue colourway featuring detailed white stitching and the stamp design in a calling-card style portrayed in the inner lining of the jacket. This the very last chance to get your hands on these limited edition, made-to-order pieces. All pre order information can be found on our website and social media.

Interested in seeing our products in person? As the festive season picks up, maybe you are thinking of buying one of our many high-quality garments for a friend or loved one. We will be hosting many pop-up events in the near future in South Wales and beyond, so why not come and pay us a visit and have a chat about the brand, Welsh heritage, and identity? We value every interaction with people interested in what we, as a brand, are all about.
