In February 2025, Cambrensis presented Victory to the Miners, its first runway show in its home city of Cardiff. Held at Cornerstone, the show welcomed 250 guests and marked 40 years since the end of the 1984-85 miners’ strike. Taking its title from the historic slogan associated with the strikes, the event drew directly from Wales’ industrial heritage and the communities and stories that continue to shape Cambrensis.

The runway presented garments from Cambrensis’ first two collections, accompanied by a live performance from Aber Valley Male Voice Choir as models walked the runway. Bringing Welsh choral tradition into a contemporary fashion setting created a distinctive experience that connected fashion, music, heritage and place. With 250 attendees, Victory to the Miners became Wales’ biggest runway show by attendance at the time, establishing a significant platform for Cambrensis within the Welsh fashion landscape.

The event was held in support of City Hospice, a Cardiff-based charity providing care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families, and received coverage from BBC and S4C. Victory to the Miners remains a defining milestone in the Cambrensis story - bringing together Welsh fashion, industrial heritage, community and culture while establishing the ambition and identity that continue to shape the independent Welsh fashion house today.
